Finding and Using Images

Collection of over 17,000 images provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Use Advanced Search to search by keyword, image licenses, and even Medical Subject Headings (MeSH).

Roughly 200 infographics & visualizations from the U.S. Bureau on a variety of topics, including healthcare. Visuals mostly date from 2000 to the present. Over 550 popular documentaries and feature films related to Health & Wellness. Kanopy is an on-demand streaming video service for public libraries and educational institutions that provides library patrons, students and faculty access to a large collection of films

A collection of roughly 1,000 photographs of NIH buildings, staff members, lab researchers, and various historical images. Also included are animations, illustrations, and videos.

This resource is the NLM's collection of biomedical books, still and moving images, totaling over 90,000 items. Unless otherwise indicated, all images are in the public domain.

Images from the History of Medicine provides online access to images from the NLM's historical collections, containing over 70,000 images from the 15th to 21st Century. This includes, but is not limited to, fine art, photographs, engravings, and posters.
